Artificial Sand

Artificial Sand – Potential and Applications in Construction

Artificial sand is produced by crushing natural stones such as granite, basalt, limestone, and gravel into fine particles. This production process ensures uniform particle size and high fineness, enhancing the quality of concrete and other construction materials.

Production Process and Quality: Artificial sand is manufactured through the grinding process in factories, reducing the need for natural sand extraction. The crushed stones result in uniform, rounded sand particles that improve cohesion in concrete and mortar, providing greater durability and longer service life for structures.

Fly ash is typically categorized based on its calcium oxide (CaO) content:

  • Concrete Production: Artificial sand is a key component in concrete, especially for large-scale projects such as bridges, highways, and high-rise buildings.
  • Infrastructure Construction: It is used in the construction of hydropower dams, railways, and roadworks, enhancing the durability and stability of these structures.
  • Non-fired Brick Production: Artificial sand serves as the primary material in non-fired brick production, reducing clay usage and lowering construction costs.
  • Ensures Quality: Uniform particle size enhances the strength and load-bearing capacity of concrete and mortar.
  • Resource Conservation: The production of artificial sand helps reduce natural sand extraction, protecting natural resources and minimizing environmental impact.
  • Cost-Effective: Artificial sand meets high-quality standards while remaining a cost-effective alternative for large-scale construction projects.

Artificial sand in Vietnam is produced from legally licensed quarries, adhering to regulations for mineral resource protection and environmental sustainability. The production process must comply with environmental protection standards to ensure the sand has a legal origin.

To meet high-quality requirements and international standards, artificial sand must comply with specific technical parameters:

  • Fineness Modulus: Reflects the particle size distribution in a sand sample. It must fall within a defined range to meet construction specifications.
  • VILAS Standard (Vietnam Laboratory Accreditation Scheme): Accredited laboratories must adhere to ISO/IEC 17025:2017, the international standard for testing and calibration.
  • International Standards (ASTM C-33 - USA): Artificial sand for export must meet global standards, especially for markets like the USA, EU, and Japan.
  • Moisture Content: Artificial sand must have low moisture content to maintain proper mixing ratios in concrete.
  • Cleanliness: The sand must be washed to remove impurities, dust, and organic materials, ensuring the longevity of concrete structures.
  • Abrasion Resistance: The sand must possess good abrasion resistance to ensure the durability and stability of construction projects.

Supply Capacity: We are capable of supplying up to 1,000,000 tons of artififical sand annually and can expand production capacity to meet the growing needs of our customers.

Delivery Methods by Jumbo Bag: Each jumbo bag contains approximately 1 ton of Fly Ash, suitable for products that require protection during shipping.

Delivery Methods:

  • Loose Delivery: Artificial sand will be unloaded directly into the mother vessel, with no packaging required, making it ideal for large shipments and cost-effective transport.
  • Jumbo Bag Delivery: Each jumbo bag contains approximately 1.5 to 1.6 tons of aggregate granite, suitable for products that require protection during shipping.

We are able to ship at least 30,000 tons per vessel.

Quotation Basis: Prices will be adjusted based on the monthly volume required by the customer and other factors, such as market and transportation requirements.

Payment Terms:

  • Option A: 30% deposit, 70% upon Goods on Board (GOB) – 30% paid at contract signing and the remaining 70% when the goods are loaded onto the vessel.
  • Option B: Irrevocable Letter of Credit (LC) – Payment via an irrevocable letter of credit, ensuring safety and transparency for both parties in the international transaction.
  • Option C: Flexible, open for discussion – We are open to discussing and adjusting payment terms based on the specific requirements of the customer.
