Rhyolite

Rhyolite Aggregate – Potential and Applications in Construction

Rhyolite is an acidic volcanic rock with high durability and excellent abrasion resistance, making it an ideal choice as aggregate in concrete and mortar construction. Additionally, with its natural colors such as red, pink, and light yellow, rhyolite is also used as a decorative material in architectural projects.

Rhyolite forms when silica-rich magma cools rapidly on the Earth's surface, resulting in fine-grained or glassy textures. The primary mineral components of rhyolite include quartz, feldspar, and mica, which provide high mechanical strength and excellent water resistance

Benefits:

  • High Durability: Rhyolite has a strong load-bearing capacity and is resistant to abrasion, contributing to the long-term durability of structures.
  • Aesthetic Appeal: The natural colors and unique veining of rhyolite enhance the aesthetic value of architectural designs.
  • Water Resistance: Rhyolite helps protect structures from water and moisture-related damage

Applications:

  • Concrete Aggregate: Rhyolite improves the strength and aesthetic qualities of concrete.
  • Decorative Material: It is used for cladding, countertops, and other interior and exterior decorative elements.
  • Brick and Tile Production: Rhyolite is used in the production of durable, naturally colored building materials.

We extract rhyolite aggregate from quarries in Vietnam and strictly adhere to environmental protection regulations and mineral resource management standards. We work closely with regulatory authorities to ensure a legal and sustainable supply of rhyolite.

To ensure the quality of rhyolite aggregate, the following procedures are followed:

  • Mineral Composition Testing: Ensuring the correct proportion of quartz, feldspar, and mica.
  • Physical and Mechanical Properties Testing: Including compressive strength, abrasion resistance, and water absorption.
  • Compliance with International Standards: Adhering to standards such as TCVN 7570:2006 for concrete and mortar aggregates.
  • Cleanliness: Rhyolite aggregate must be thoroughly washed to remove contaminants such as clay, salts, and organic materials to ensure the quality of the concrete.
  • Particle Size Distribution: The aggregate is classified into appropriate sizes for specific concrete mixes and applications.
  • Volume Stability: The aggregate's ability to maintain its volume when exposed to water is tested to prevent any adverse effects on concrete structures.

Rhyolite aggregate offers significant potential in the construction industry due to its durability, aesthetic appeal, and water resistance. Strict quality control and adherence to international standards are essential to ensure its long-term effectiveness in construction applications

Supply Capacity: We are capable of supplying up to 1,000,000 tons of Rhyolite annually and can expand production capacity to meet the growing needs of our customers.

Delivery Methods:

  • Loose Delivery: Aggregate Rhyolite will be unloaded directly into the mother vessel, with no packaging required, making it ideal for large shipments and cost-effective transport.
  • Jumbo Bag Delivery: Each jumbo bag contains approximately 1.5 to 1.6 tons of aggregate granite, suitable for products that require protection during shipping.

We are able to ship at least 30,000 tons per vessel.

Quotation Basis: Prices will be adjusted based on the monthly volume required by the customer and other factors, such as market and transportation requirements.

Payment Terms:

  • Option A: 30% deposit, 70% upon Goods on Board (GOB) – 30% paid at contract signing and the remaining 70% when the goods are loaded onto the vessel.
  • Option B: Irrevocable Letter of Credit (LC) – Payment via an irrevocable letter of credit, ensuring safety and transparency for both parties in the international transaction.
  • Option C: Flexible, open for discussion – We are open to discussing and adjusting payment terms based on the specific requirements of the customer.

We are also happy to accommodate our customers with Free On-Board Shipping Point (FOB) and Cost, Insurance and Freight (CIF) shipping terms.
